Korenix is pleased to announce its exclusive JetNet 6810G series Booster PoE switches are now compliant with the IEEE 802.3at High Power PoE standard, meaning that they can power high-end cameras and wireless APs when used inside moving vehicles, train carriages etc.
The JetNet 6810G series EN 50121-4 & IEC 61373 Railway compliant 24V vehicle booster switches are designed with 8 ports that are compliant with both 802.3af PoE and now also with 802.3at High Power PoE standards, and are capable of delivering maximum 15.4W and 30W power per each port to power various PTZ and Dome Cameras, Wireless APs. The total power budget can reach up to 120W per unit.
The superiority of the switch is that it is built with Korenix patented 24V booster technology, which means that the switches can get power from a 24VDC source and automatically convert it to 57VDC to power up the standard PoE cameras. This allows the switches to be easily installed on-board buses, moving vehicles, railway and subway carriages, without the need of using an additional power adapter, as a matter of fact greatly saving costs and installation space.
In addition to the 8 PoE ports, the JetNet 6810G-RJ and JetNet 6810G-M12 switches are equipped with 2 uplink 10/100/1000TX ports, used to create high-speed backbone networks with several switches or with central PC.
To improve the network performance by providing higher quality, reliable, non-stop data transmission, Korenix has designed the switches with the best parameters, including the Korenix patented MSR with 5ms recovery time and the MSTP network redundancy technologies as well as QoS, IGMP Snooping, VLAN, Private VLAN, LACP and many other advanced management and security functions.. The compliance of the switches to the EN 50121-4 Railway EMC as well as IEC 61373 Railway shock and vibration certifications are a strong proof of that.
With smart thermal detection function and -40~60°C operating temperature, the isolated booster switches act as intelligent networking devices for ruggedized PoE vehicle applications.
