The JetNet5012G, the high density Industrial Managed Ethernet Switch with 8 fast Ethernet ports, 2 Gigabit SFP and 2 Gigabit RJ-45/SFP combo ports, is specifically designed to meet the requirements of reliable and high quality video transmission systems for any automation applications. Main benefit of the JetNet 5012G is that it allows you to aggregate dual gigabit rings within a single switch for ensuring reliable video stream transmission of hundreds of megapixel cameras. The key features that JetNet 5012G optimizes for IP surveillance are:
- Non-Blocking Switching and Jumbo Frame: Larger Video Stream Transmission
JetNet 5012G supports non-blocking switching performance and provides 12.8G backplane which ensures the video traffic switching without data loss and blocking. Furthermore, the managed high density switch supports up to 9K Jumbo frame which allows transmitting larger video files with fewer segments. - Gigabit SFP and Gigabit RJ45/SFP combo ports: Flexible Network Deployment
The gigabit combo port design gives the flexibility to choose copper or fiber media, 100Base-FX or 1000Base-X, multi-mode or single-mode for surveillance from different distances (meters to kilometers) and without stocking additional switches. - MSR (Multiple Super Ring): Flexible and Reliable Video Transmission with 9 MultiRings
Network reliability is critical for video transmission, especially in a large IP surveillance system. While one single Ethernet link carries a number of video streams, any link failure can result in serious damages. Korenix MSR redundant ring technology guarantees a reliable video delivery; any network failure can be recovered within 5ms before causing damage to the video streamings. With its high-port density design featuring MultiRing technology, it fits the flexible network applications and allows aggregating up to 6 100M Fast Ethernet rings and 2 Gigabit Ring into a single switch. Moreover, JetNet 5012G with 2 gigabit fiber plus 2 gigabit combo ports can aggregate 2 gigabit fiber rings or 1
gigabit fiber and 1 100M/Gigabit copper rings plus more 100M cooper rings within a single unit. As a result, it increases the network bandwidth and expands the system through gigabit fiber and copper rings. - Optimized IGMP Query and Snooping: Quality and Cost-Effective Video Multicasting
JetNet 5012G features IGMP Query which can only be seen on more expensive layer 3 routers. JetNet 5018G further optimizes IGMP query and snooping implementation for quality video multicasting. These advanced features not only manage the multicast videos efficiently, but also eliminate the need of deploying a legacy costly layer 3 router. - QoS and VLAN: Quality and Secure Video Transmission
For quality video delivery, JetNet 5012G supports QoS (Quality of Service) and VLAN (Virtual Local Area Network) with 255 Groups. Video streams can be given precedence to preventing loss during network congestion. Video can be also isolated from data streams for a clean transmission while securing the video from malicious actions. - LLDP and JetView Pro: Auto-Discovery and Efficient Management
JetNet 5012G supports LLDP function and perfectly works with the Korenix patented JetView Pro industrial network management software (i2NMS) allowing administrators to automatically discover devices and efficiently manage the industrial network performance in IP-based mission critical environments.
With the advanced design, JetNet 5012G fits best in surveillance applications, such as airport surveillance, highway surveillance, city surveillance, railway station surveillance, infrastructure surveillance, utility surveillance, casino surveillance, oil field surveillance and/or surveillance on ship.
