Overview

JetNet 6059G, the high speed Industrial Gigabit Managed Ethernet Switch with 9 full gigabit ports and 32G switching backplane is designed to ensure high quality video stream transmission in applications requiring high-bandwidth connectivity. In addition to 4 Giga RJ-45 ports, the switch is equipped with 5 Giga RJ-45/SFP combo ports to deliver maximum throughput and flexibility for high-density connection while providing Giga uplink or Giga Ring connection. With the Korenix patented MSR network redundancy technology and advanced management functionalities, it ensures high performance network communication. The key features that JetNet 6059G optimizes for IP surveillance are:

  1. Giga RJ45/SFP Combo Ports  : Flexible Network Deployment
    JetNet 6059G offers five Gigabit RJ-45/SFP combo ports which give the flexibility to choose copper or fiber media, 100Base-FX or 1000Base-X, multi-mode or single-mode for surveillance from different distances (meters to kilometers) and without stocking additional switches. System integrators can configure the switch with as many as 10 different combinations for a variety of gigabit cabling types and distances depending on their specific applications.
  2. SFP with DDM: Fiber Quality Monitoring
    The JetNet 6059G SFP socket supports supports DDM (Digital Diagnostic Monitoring) type SFP transceivers allowing users to diagnose optical cable transmission problem through maintenance and debugging of the optical signal quality by DDM without the need of an extra optical cable analyzer as a result greatly saving time and system costs
  3. MSR (Multiple Super Ring): Flexible and Reliable Video Transmission with 4 MultiRings
    Network reliability is critical for video transmission, especially in a large IP surveillance system. While one single Ethernet link carries a number of video streams, any link failure can result in serious damages. Korenix MSR redundant ring technology guarantees a reliable video delivery; any network failure can be recovered within 5ms before causing damage to the video streamings. With its high-port density design featuring MultiRing technology, it fits the flexible network applications and allows aggregating up to 4 Gigabit Rings into a single switch. As a result, it increases the network bandwidth and expands the system through gigabit fiber and copper rings.
  4. Optimized IGMP Query and Snooping: Quality and Cost-Effective Video Multicasting
    JetNet 6059G features IGMP Query which can only be seen on more expensive layer 3 routers. JetNet 6059G further optimizes IGMP query and snooping implementation for quality video multicasting. These advanced features not only manage the multicast videos efficiently, but also eliminate the need of deploying a legacy costly layer 3 router.
  5. QoS and VLAN: Quality and Secure Video Transmission
    For quality video delivery, JetNet 6059G supports QoS (Quality of Service) and VLAN (Virtual Local Area Network) with 256 Groups. Video streams can be given precedence to preventing loss during network congestion. Video can be also isolated from data streams for a clean transmission while securing the video from malicious actions.
  6. LLDP and JetView Pro: Auto-Discovery and Efficient Management
    JetNet 6059G supports LLDP function and perfectly works with the Korenix patented JetView Pro industrial network management software (i2NMS) allowing administrators to automatically discover devices and efficiently manage the industrial network performance in IP-based mission critical environments.
  7. Isolated Communication Interface and Rugged Design: Reliable Connectivity in Harsh Environments
    The switches provide isolated console port, which guarantees excellent ESD, surge and insulation protection with negative power input, ensuring safe and reliable system operation. To operate under vibrating and shock environments, the switches are NEMA TS2 compliant and are designed with -25~75oC wide operating temperature range and rugged IP31 aluminum enclosure to provide exceptional solid connectivity in intelligent traffic control applications.
