Overview

JetNet 4706, the winner of 2008 Computex Outstanding IT Product Award, is the first PoE-plus switch in the world. It is equipped with 4 PoE ports and 2 10/100TX Ethernet uplinks. The design of JetNet 4706 is the most suitable model for IP surveillance where power source is not conveniently located, or wireless surveillance integrated with wireless LAN and WiMax.

JetNet 4706 is specifically designed for the most reliable and quality IP video surveillance. The exclusive features include:

  1. IEEE802.3at PoE-plus 25W High Power Capacity
    JetNet 4706 is compliant to both IEEE 802.3af PoE as well as the pioneer standard of IEEE802.3at PoE Plus design for PoE delivery up to 25W in each of the four PoE ports. This satisfies the high power demanding applications, such as  IP cameras with PTZ control, fans and heaters.
  2. IP Camera Auto-Failure Recovery
    JetNet 4706 helps check the live status of its attached IP cameras. Once any of the cameras fails, JetNet 4706 would immediately warn the IT staff through email, SNMP trap, DO alarm, and reset the PoE port to make the shutdowned camera work again. This auto failure recovery feature enhances the system reliability while reduces the maintenance effort of the IT staffs.
  3. Optimized IGMP Query and Snooping: Quality and Cost-Effective Video Multicasting
    JetNet 4706 features IGMP Query which can only be seen on costly layer 3 routers. JetNet 4706 further optimizes IGMP query and snooping implementation for quality video multicasting. These advanced features do not only manage the multicast videos efficiently, but also eliminate the need of deploying a legacy costly layer 3 router.
  4. MSR (Multiple Super Ring): Guarantees Reliable Video Transmission
    Network reliabiliy is critical for video transmission, especially in a large IP surveillance system. While one single Ethernet link carries a number of video streams, any link failure results in serious damage. Korenix redundant ring technology, MSR, guarantees a reliable video delivery. Any network failure can be recovered within 5ms before causing damage to the video streamings.
  5. PoE Schedule
    Korenix provides an hourly/weekly scheduling mechanism for advanced power control. Each PoE port can be configured as on/off by hourly basis. This feature meets economic power management, security, or customer-specific requirements.
  6. Forced Powering
    JetNet 4706 provides forced powering control to deliver power to non-standard PoE devices. Some PoE products, such as wireless APs, security alarms, card readers, that were circulating the market prior to the ratification of PoE standard 802.3af did not comply with the current standard.  Forced powering helps you integrate all PoE products into your security system.
  7. Redundant Power Input
    JetNet 4706, being a power sourcing equipment, takes the responsibility of reliable power delivery. JetNet 4706 is equipped with dual power inputs for those applications where a reliable power supply is critical. The backup power input will be enabled when the main input fails.
