Overview
JetWave 2640, IEEE 802.11a + IEEE 802.11b/g IP67 Wireless Outdoor AP, is an ideal solution to relay video from wireless IP cameras to long-distance monitor site through the air. JetWave 2640 extends the wireless coverage to 40km. In addition to CSMA (Carrier Sense Multiple Access), the mostly used wireless transmission technology, JetWave 2640 implements Intel TDMA technology for longer wireless delivery without compromising the bandwidth. With a default 23dbi panel antenna, the wireless extensibility can reach at least 40KM with guaranteed transmission quality.
Key features of JetWave 2640 are:
- Dual Band relays Video from IEEE802.11b/g IP Camera to Long Distance
JetWave 2640 is equipped with one 802.11a and one 802.11b/g module to easily integrate local area 2.4G network with backhaul 5G network, increasing flexibility of wireless surveillance deployment. Video from 802.11b/g IP camera can be easily transmitted to remote sites.
- Intel TDMA Enlarges the Coverage and Performance
Intel TDMA is digital transmission technology that allows a number of users to access a single radio-frequency (RF) channel by allocating unique time slots to each user. By preventing collision problem, JetWave 2640 can extend video transmission to more than 40km with guaranteed quality.
- IEEE 802.11a 5G Band
While IEEE 802.11b/g is more widely accepted in homes, enterprises, and hotspots, the IEEE 802.11a 5G band is less popular so there is less congestion to cause interference or signal contention. JetWave 2640 adapts IEEE 802.11a for longer distance and higher performance.
- WMM (Wi-Fi Multimedia)
designed for quality wireless surveillance, JetWave 2640 supports WMM which allows the wireless communication to give the highest priority to multimedia streaming. Video is given precedence over data packets and is delivered more efficiently even under limited bandwidth.
JetWave 2640 is powered by PoE. Along with JetPoE and JetRock series, Korenix provides the total solution to surveillance where wired infrastructures can not be easily reached, such as highway surveillance, railway surveillance, tunnel surveillance, dam surveillance, mining surveillance, harbor/port surveillance, wind farm surveillance, oil field surveillance and so on.
